I’m created this site because I have a history of playing chess as an amateur with unfulfilled promises. I reached a respectable level of play with a USCF (United States Chess Federation) title of Expert, which today is the title Candidate Master, with the expectation of becoming a Master (Today the title is Life Master.) I was fortunate enough to play in the New York, New Jersey area of the country where there were extraordinarily strong players such as Sammy Reshevsky and of course Bobby Fischer.

Lately I’ve taken the notion of writing an ebook advising the amateur chess player how to strengthen his or her play. After kicking it around for a while I decided on limiting the advice to players that are no longer beginners but are looking to improve. Since it seems that most players in that category tend to follow the advice of popular analysts ranked from master to grand-master, I thought it wise to limit my recommendations to those in the player’s range of understanding. I figured the title of my book should reflect that idea and opted for “How to Dominate Your Rivals at Chess.”

However, as I started my project I had a brainstorm. Why not create a website where I actively write the book and publish it there as I develop it. So this site is the result.
